We offer affordable, total veterinary care with on-site digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental equipment, eye pressure reading and a modern theatre. We know that your pets are part of your family and deserve the very best care.

Advanced Orthopaedic Services

TPLO is the abbreviation for tibial plateau levelling osteotomy. This a surgical procedure used to treat cranial (or anterior) cruciate ligament rupture in the knee joints of dogs. It involves changing the angle of the top of the shin bone (the tibial plateau) by cutting the bone, rotating it, and stabilising it in a new position with a plate and screws.

Cranial cruciate ligament rupture is the most common cause of hind limb lameness in dogs. As a result TPLO surgery is one of the most common orthopaedic surgical procedures performed in dogs in advanced orthopaedic practices

Laparoscopic Services

We are proud to be able to offer one of the only laparoscopic spay services in the area. Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive technique for performing abdominal surgery whereby a small camera (laparoscope) is introduced into the abdominal cavity through a very small surgical incision in the abdominal wall which results in smaller scars and quick recovery. Laparoscopic surgery is much less invasive therefore less painful making recovery times considerably quicker. Laparoscopic spays can offer up to 65% less post-operative pain than a traditional spay. Other laparoscopic services are available including ovariectomy, cryptorchid castration, gastropexy, cystotomy, biopsy of abdominal organs including liver and pancreas.

Family Run Practice

The Veterinary consultation is often your first point of contact with the vet. During the consultations, our vets will take time to listen to your concerns about your pet and take a detailed medical history. This is also where the examination of your pet takes place and certain very simple tests (such as neurological exams, or blood tests) may be performed.
